Balancing Life Touch--massage for health and healing

ABOUT US

Deanna Figgins is a licensed, nationally-certified massage therapist and bodyworker. She graduated from Body Therapy Institute in 2008 and started her own private massage therapy practice,  Balancing Life Touchmassage for health and healing in 2009. Believing that learning and enhancing her massage therapy skills is an ongoing, lifelong process, since graduation from massage school, Deanna has completed more than 100 hours of  specialized training including integrative reflexology, pregnancy and postpartum massage, orthopaedic injury assessment, and cranial sacral work. She is a professional member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

Having previously become a certified Pilates practitioner in 2001 with a focus on rehabilitation, Deanna has worked one-on-one with clients to help them manage pain or chronic illness, recover from injury, increase mobility, strength and flexibility and restore overall functionality to their everyday lives.

Leisure time is spent with family--husband Dan, as well as her 5 grown children and 3 grandchildren. Deanna also enjoys spending time with friends, performing as a lyric soprano soloist, reading, traveling, exploring spirituality, cooking, CHI Walking, Zumba, and going to movies and theatre productions.

Massage Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all kind of therapy. To allow for the highest level of treatment, each session is tailored to address the needs and preferences of the individual.

Deanna specializes in the following types of massage techniques (modalities):

Swedish massage for general relaxation, stress relief and ongoing health maintenance

Deep tissue massage for aches and pains and chronic tension areas

Medical massage for head/neck pain or injury

Integrative Reflexology for overall health and wellness and to bring balance to the body/mind

Prenatal and postpartum massage for the mom-to-be

Chair Massage to open up back muscles, relieve neck strain/tension, and  for general relaxation
